The Role

As the HR Advisor, your role is to offer clear, thorough, and business-oriented guidance and support to both managers and employees across various people-related matters. This can include employee relations, performance management, attendance and wellbeing issues, as well as organisational change initiatives.


The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone eager to advance in their HR career, gaining valuable experience across a broad scope of HR functions. The role is Remote with the requirement to travel to Sheffield/Hull and occasional travel to Bristol when needed.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clear guidance on straightforward workplace issues like performance, absence, and wellbeing, while knowing when to seek out advice for more complex situations.
  • Taking every opportunity to coach managers in the moment to develop their confidence and capability.
  • Taking ownership of simpler people casework across EMEA, including performance improvement plans, attendance discussions, disciplinary and grievance hearings, business changes, flexible working applications, and wellbeing support. Ensure managers are well-prepared, records are maintained, and correspondence is accurate.
  • Accurately record and promptly save all documentation related to people cases in the appropriate HR SharePoint location, ensuring cases are logged in the team’s tracking system.
  • To engage in credible and proactive dialogue with employees at key points in the employment journey – e.g. onboarding, preparing for or returning to work from parental leave, those leaving Tribal’s employment, ensuring that employees feel that their views are listened to and valued and that any concerns will acted upon as appropriate and with suitable levels of discretion.
  • Assisting the HR Team in ensuring that new managers at Tribal quickly understand their responsibilities as people managers. This includes supporting them before they join a formal management development program and overseeing a smooth knowledge transfer process as needed.
  • Monitoring absence data for the region, proactively contacting managers when triggers are reached and/or patterns of concern are identified, to allow the right support to be provided to employees and managers.
  • Updating People Advisory resources to reflect organisational, legislative, or policy changes, ensuring the hub remains current and accessible.
  • maintaining the People Advisory inbox, ensuring that incoming emails are allocated to the appropriate team member, or responded to in a timely manner.


The skills you’ll have:

  • Prior experience in a HR based role.
  • Confident in having challenging conversation with employee and managers.
  • Strong written communication.
  • An ability to understand the needs and motivations of people.


It would be great if you had:

  • CIPD qualification (this is not essential).
  • Prior experience within a HR advisor position.
