Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated HR professional to join our team to support the delivery of single managed services across the Bristol NHS Group. This is a great challenge for the right candidate to make a tangible and lasting contribution to the development and stability of the implementation of this programme of work across the city aligned to the delivery of the Joint Clinical Strategy.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of this role is to support key projects that will enable achievement of the Joint Clinical Strategy vision and benefits realisation of University Hospitals Bristol & Weston (UHBW) and North Bristol Trust (NBT) becoming a single hospital Group.
Reporting to the HR Programme Lead, a key part of this role is to provide HR support for the delivery of Single Managed Services (SMS). This support will vary dependent on the type of SMS being implemented. The responsibilities will range from supporting the organisational change required to implement a Group clinical service; to supporting corporate teams to align policies, processes and systems, to enable the Trusts to operate effectively as a Group.
Working collaboratively with work stream leads from the People functions, Programme Managers, TU representatives, clinical and operational colleagues, the postholder will provide HR advice and guidance, change management expertise and project management skills, to support the delivery of plans.

Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Qualified or working towards accreditation as a Chartered Member
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of supporting change initiatives as a HR professional
- Sound understanding and practical application of UHBW or NBT HR policies and procedures
- Up to date knowledge of employment law and good employment practice
- Demonstrated capability to act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and escalate as needed
- Demonstrable evidence of service improvement and ability to facilitate change
Desirable criteria
- Experience of developing deliverable projects including scope and design, project plans including timescales and resources
- Experience of a matrix working environment
- Workforce planning and role re-design experience
