We’re looking for a People Finance Business Partner to join Motorway during a very exciting time of growth and scale.
As Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with a range of business leaders to help optimise organisation cost management forecasting & budgeting processes, drive insights to help strategic decision making, identify and roll-out operational improvements, and report on the performance of the business.
As core Business Partner to the HR (People) Team, you will also be responsible for salary survey and market data provision, compensation planning, HR data analysis, salary benchmarking, organisation reviews and any regulatory data reporting as well as the development of HR strategies and initiatives that enhance our organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction!

Responsibilities Include
- Building trusted relationships with your business partners to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions that steer business improvements and cost reductions
- Ensuring that drivers of performance are well understood by business leaders
- Aiding decision making with data and insight, presenting in a clear, concise and engaging manner
- Supporting the delivery of the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting process related to Organisation Structure and planning
- Providing monthly updates on financial performance with variance analysis to plan, looking for ways to improve processes and outputs
- Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall Finance & People functions
- Accountable for reward and compensation cycles to co-ordinating salary survey insight, aligning market data to roles, running the annual review compensation data and supporting analytics.
- Developing and maintaining HR dashboards, reports, and analytics to track key HR metrics and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
- Analysing HR data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement including production of gender paygap and other regulatory reports and commentary
Requirements

- Qualified finance professional with previous business partnering and/or management accounting experience (CIMA/ACCA preferred)
- Analytics experience with an interest in people, headcount and compensation
- Commercially minded with a desire to develop a strong business understanding
- A strong relationship builder who builds trust with their key stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills, with the ability to effectively present solid performance insights to senior leaders
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel/Sheets) with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and interpret data
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Some understanding of HR processes, metrics, and best practices
