OVERALL DESCRIPTION – PEOPLE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Working closely with the CEO, COO and SLT, the People Operations Manager will support the day-to-day employee engagement and drive our human resources initiatives that support our growth and culture.


Experience: Candidates will have at least 3.5-4 years of experience in a relevant people operations role.

THE JOB AND WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE AND ENGAGEMENT

/         Create and maintain programs that foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

/         Manage employee onboarding and offboarding.

/         Develop employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities, events, away days and trips abroad.

/         Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and implement improvement strategies.

/         Support professional development and career progression opportunities.

/         Draft regular internal communications for the team, including a monthly internal staff newsletter.


TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

/         Create comprehensive training and development programs.

/         Design professional development paths for different career levels.

/         Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training interventions.

/         Support mentorship and coaching programs.


PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

/         Design and implement performance review processes and management systems.

/         Develop performance evaluation frameworks specific to PR and communications roles.

/         Create performance tracking and feedback mechanisms.

/         Support line managers in conducting effective performance conversations.


HR COMPLIANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

/         Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and industry standards.

/         Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.

/         Develop and update HR policies and employee handbooks.

/         Manage employee relations and conflict resolution.

/         Liaison with IT to support seamless experience for employees.


TALENT ACQUISITION AND RECRUITMENT

/         Design and execute full-cycle recruitment strategies tailored to PR and communications roles.

/         Regularly review our recruitment processes (including recruitment policy), including job description creation, candidate sourcing, interviewing and onboarding.

/         Maintain positive relationships with recruiters.


TEAM HEALTH

/         Be an integral team player and ambassador, supporting other team members and driving positive outcomes, with the combination of being a doer as well as a leader.

/         Support with external and internal communications.

/         Demonstrate enthusiasm when working with employees.


BUSINESS GROWTH

/         Collaborate with senior leadership team to align HR strategies with business objectives.

/         Build and maintain relationships with professional networks, universities, and recruitment agencies.

/         Assist with ad hoc client tasks which may include purchasing gifts, reviewing employee time sheets.

SALARY, BENEFITS AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT

/         The salary for the People Operations Manager position is £30,000-45,000+ a 5% performance bonus after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.

/         Pension after three months. New joiners are eligible for our bonus scheme after the successful completion of a six-month probationary period. In addition, after your probationary period you are eligible for an interest-free season ticket travel loan, our cycle to work scheme, free eye tests and the influenza vaccine.

/         Other benefits include a duvet day, loyalty days, a paid sabbatical, reduced working hours during the summer, the opportunity to work from abroad and much more.

LOCATION AND OFFICE/HOME WORKING

/         Our office is located in central London. Local tube stations include Oxford Circus, Great Portland Street, Regent’s Park, Goodge Street and Warren Street.

/         For the first four weeks new joiners are required to work from the office four days a week for training purposes (and one day working from home).

/         After four weeks, new joiners can work three days in the office and two days at home.
