Permanent, Full-time

Hybrid role - occasional travel to Bristol

Your role is to support the delivery of our People Health plan by leading on the development of our DEI strategy and delivering creative, market leading interventions and initiatives to implement our strategy.


What will I be doing?


  • Develop and implement DE&I strategies and initiatives aligned with Bupa Dental Care’s ambition and values and with support from the Head of Reward & People Experience
  • Advise and support leaders and teams on inclusive practices, language, and decision-making, including exploring and delivering innovative ways to influence policy makers to incorporate the DE&I agenda
  • Partner with other teams to embed DE&I principles into everything we do and all touch points across the employee lifecycle as well as business processes, products and policy.
  • Use data and insights to assess the impact of DE&I initiatives and inform continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date on trends and best practices in DE&I and apply them to Bupa Dental Care as appropriate.
  • Coordinate events, campaigns, and communications that build awareness and celebrate diversity across the organization.
  • Partner with L&D to design and deliver training on topics such as unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, and cultural awareness.
  • Actively seeks out approaches from award winning organisations to help shape and build the Bupa Dental Care DE&I agenda.


What we're looking for


  • An experienced DE&I specialist with demonstrable experience gained within a relevant market and/or industry – exposure to a Healthcare/Retail/Hospitality/Consumer led environment would be hugely beneficial.
  • Experience in working in large multisite organisations
  • Experience of leading on People lead projects.
  • Successful record of influencing, managing and delivering change in a complex business environment
  • Experience of a business partner culture, working closely with business leaders to achieve objectives.
  • Evidence of building a strong reputation for personal excellence and delivery in the businesses in which you have worked.
  • Evidence of a collaborative approach to developing solutions.
  • Familiarity with the pace and agility required to operate successfully alongside senior leaders and the pace of the organisation.


About You


  • Passion for DE&I, and other elements of organisational culture
  • Commercial understanding and the ability to deliver and contribute to a wider people plan.
  • Can make commercial judgments aligned with the business vision, values and strategic objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to flex personal style in response to others or fit the situation.
  • Resilient, able to deal with problems and “knock backs” and manage difficult situations firmly and sensitively.
  • Is able to build effective relationships at all levels of the business, respecting different cultures and needs.
  • Able to coach managers appropriately and act as sounding board for managers.
  • Able to evaluate situations rationally and make decisions based on knowledge and experience.
