We have an amazing opportunity for a Personal Assistant to support a friendly and independent gentleman in Newcastle area.
About The Role
Are you kind, reliable, and enjoy making a difference in someone’s day? A friendly and independent gentleman is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide support for around
12 hours per week. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who has a good sense of humour and who enjoys a mix of admin tasks and social outings.
What You'll Be Working
Approx. 12 hours per week (shifts to be discussed)
Salary: £15 per hour (weekdays); £17 per hour (weekends); £22 on bank holidays
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be offering one-on-one support to help him stay organized and active in his community.
Duties Will Include
- General admin tasks – helping with paperwork, appointment scheduling, and staying on top of correspondence and making phone calls.
- Day trips and outings – accompanying him to events, cafés, trips out to places of interest
- Community activities – supporting participation in local clubs or groups
- Offering friendly companionship and practical support
This post may on occasions include evening, weekend shifts and occasional sleep in duties.
Post open to women / men and employees need a proficient understanding and spoken capacity of the English language - GOR applies
Essential
What you'll have:
- Friendly, patient, and supportive and empathetic
- Good sense of humour
- Good communication, listening and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and flexibly
- Respectful of personal boundaries and confidentiality
- You have a full, clean UK driving licence
- You have your own car that you can use for work purposes
Preferred
- Previous experience in support is a bonus, but not essential – the right attitude is more important!
- You have experience of supporting someone with a brain injury

JSP Ltd provides an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injury. Qualified staff assess clients’ needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.
JSP Ltd is not an agency. Recruitment of staff for small, personalised care teams is part of our case management service and is undertaken on behalf of individuals using this service.
