About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced candidate to join NOC’s fundraising team. Together with the Head of Philanthropy, you will lead income generation for a large strategic science project, identifying and cultivating corporate, trust and major donor partnerships.


You will be responsible for our first long-term campaign, liaising with colleagues to ensure that you put together high-quality funding proposals that inspire supporters to make five and six figure gifts.


The Philanthropy Manager plays a critical role in implementing a campaign-based giving program that supports NOC’s strategic ocean science and public good goals.

About you

You will have strong knowledge and practical experience of leading projects and developing high-level giving. You will be accomplished in building beneficial and sustainable partnerships, including hosting special events and delivering best-practise stewardship.


Your excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills enable you to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external customers. You are looking for an exciting opportunity to shape a fundraising programme and create strategic growth within the philanthropy team.

Location

This position will be based in Southampton. The centre is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points.


The NOC has a hybrid working approach where for most positions staff can work from home up to 2 days per week. If you are interested in this position, but require a more flexible working arrangement, please contact the recruitment team using the contact details below.
