We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during times of annual leave or absence. You will also be expected to work one Saturday morning a month as part of our weekend rota, and on an ad hoc basis during the week as required. An enhancement is paid for weekend work.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.
- Support patients with prescribed exercises, mobility practice, and therapeutic activities in a safe and compassionate manner.
- Provide reassurance and motivation to patients during therapy, helping build confidence and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists and other team members to deliver a high-quality service.
- Follow all relevant health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding procedures.
- Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and learning opportunities provided by the department.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Experience working in a healthcare, care, or rehabilitation setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A caring, patient-focused approach and commitment to promoting independence.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
