Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join our team in Norfolk, United Kingdom. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the water and energy sectors by developing, implementing, and monitoring project plans.
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures
- Identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales
- Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to produce tender stage programmes
- Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency
- Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
- Strong Knowledge of NEC form of contract essential
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
- Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
