Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join our team in Norfolk, United Kingdom. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the water and energy sectors by developing, implementing, and monitoring project plans.

  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations
  • Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures
  • Identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales
  • Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to produce tender stage programmes
  • Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
  • Strong Knowledge of NEC form of contract essential
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
  • Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
