About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
Role Overview
The Plant and Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management, allocation, and maintenance of plant and equipment within the organization. This role involves coordinating the availability and optimal use of machinery and equipment on various project sites, ensuring that all resources are in good working order and compliant with safety standards. The Plant and Equipment Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the operational needs of the organisation by minimising downtime and maximising the efficiency of plant and equipment usage.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the allocation and deployment of plant and equipment to various project sites based on operational
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, location, and condition to ensure proper tracking and accountability.
- Work closely with building managers and site supervisors to forecast equipment requirements and plan for their timely provision.
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and inspections of all plant and equipment to ensure they meet operational and safety standards & address any repair needs promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and certifications
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams to order necessary items in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the transportation and logistics of plant and equipment between sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Who we're looking for
Do you have?
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working within a Construction role.
- Ability to gain a security clearance.
