We are currently looking for a Policy and Engagement Officer to join our busy team in Barking and Dagenham!
As a Policy and Engagement Officer, you will embark on a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at supporting our health policy influencing projects. You’ll engage with stakeholders, gather invaluable insights, and ensure that the voices of residents and seldom heard communities are effectively represented. Your role will include everything from project management - assisting from inception to completion, conducting in-depth research and data analysis, to facilitating discussions amongst community groups and health organisations. You'll also have the chance to network, build meaningful relationships, and significantly contribute to promoting health and social equity.
Hours of Work: Full time - 9am to 5.30pm, 37.5 hours per week, including some evening and weekend working.
Policy and Engagement Officer Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Public Policy, Social Sciences) or equivalent experience.
- At least two years’ experience in policy, community engagement, or public health roles.
- Proficient in gathering and analysing stakeholder feedback using diverse engagement tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Policy and Engagement Officer Benefits:
- Salary ranging from £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, based on experience.
