Job Description

As the Pressure Compliance Lead, you’ll oversee pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements within the Balance of Plant scope for Hinkley Point C. Acting as a key interface between stakeholders, regulators, and supply chain partners, you’ll ensure seamless delivery of project policies and compliance standards.

⚡️ Key responsibilities:

  • Manage pressure systems compliance and structural integrity for the allocated scope.
  • Ensure project policies meet quality, regulation, and safety case requirements.
  • Act as the technical decision-maker for pressure regulation and integrity compliance.
  • Oversee the delivery of technical files and Third-Party surveillance.
  • Coordinate the preparation of declarations of conformity in line with Pressure Regulations.
  • Maintain personnel SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Persons) standards.
  • Provide expertise to guide teams and stakeholders through compliance processes.
  • Resolve technical challenges and expedite open points within programme schedules.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • 🛠 Strong understanding of pressure regulation and structural integrity compliance in nuclear projects.
  • 🛠 Mechanical engineering expertise, particularly in RCC-M or ASME codes.
  • 🛠 Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in matrix organisations.
  • 🛠 Skilled in preparing technical documentation and delivering declarations of conformity.
  • 🛠 Experience in liaising with regulators and supply chain partners.

Desired Skills:

  • ✔️ Knowledge of UK regulatory standards relating to plant operations.
  • ✔️ Familiarity with EDF processes and the nuclear industry.
  • ✔️ Chartered status or near-chartered membership (IMechE preferred).
  • ✔️ Experience with multi-cultural industrial projects.
  • ✔️ Strong communication and influencing abilities across diverse teams.
