The London Borough of Bexley is looking for a Principal Auditor. Applicants should be enthusiastic self-starters with relevant internal audit experience. The scope of these wide-ranging roles includes working with colleagues across all council departments including schools, to carry out risk based audit reviews and other advisory and ad hoc assignments.
We currently work on a hybrid basis. The Assurance team is based at our Civic Offices in Bexleyheath and there is an expectation that time will be spent in the Civic Offices and at other offices and schools in the borough.
Candidate Profile
Candidates should have a strong internal audit background and possess or be working towards a CCAB or internal audit qualification.
Local Authority experience is desirable but is not essential. We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate how their experience, skills and knowledge of current internal audit best practice will strengthen our team.
