Job Purpose
United Utilities (UU) is on the lookout a Principal Integration Engineer to join our Integration and Commissioning team based in Warrington, Cheshire, with the position focussing on the Manchester and Greater Manchester areas.
As Principal Integration Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing asset development and operational efficiency whilst ensuring a seamless design integration process, and making informed, risk-based decisions to facilitate the delivery of the AMP 8 programme. This role is vital for achieving United Utilities' efficiency targets and maintaining consistent operations, contributing significantly to the company's sustainable future.
In this position, you will spearhead the Integration and Takeover functions at a regional level, crafting and overseeing the strategy and policy. Your responsibilities will include managing the resource profile for the regional programme to guarantee optimal utilisation. As the Subject Matter Expert for Integration and Takeover, you will offer technical direction and expertise, guiding the company through its integration and commissioning endeavors.

- Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and UU best practices in all integration/takeover processes.
- Lead the standardization of integration and takeover strategies to streamline design, implementation, and delivery.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members, enhancing skills and knowledge within the Integration team.
- Manage project accountabilities within the approved budget, maintaining financial integrity.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and empathetic team relationships.

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Chartered or Incorporated professional or demonstrable equivalent level of expertise
- Detailed working knowledge and proven leadership experience of complex projects in an integration management role
- Experience in leading successful multi-disciplinary resources in a highly technical and commercial environment
- Hold a current UK/EU driving licence
