About The Role And The Team
To support the ADM in leading and developing a high-performing reliable team or partner relationship, that delivers a high quality, cost-efficient delivery output in a predictable and safe manner. Be accountable for key specific tasks within the operational delivery team and ensure they are executed professionally and recorded.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
- Excellent understanding of fibre optic network architectures and installation methods to have the ability to make decisions.
- Be accountable for ensuring lead engineers or partners organise their Teams and deliver their work schedules daily
- Ensure activities are delivered to forecast with appropriate risk management
Best Practice
- Looking and using best practices to share with Leads and partners to ensure engineering tasks are as efficient as possible daily
- Ability to read data reports and interpret build test reports and analyse existing data
- Work closely with the Coaching team and Innovation to understand new products and best practices for engineers and share/reinforce within teams
Quality
- Audit quality installation against appropriate compliance standards
- Audit reports ensuring they are accurate and timely
Safety & Compliance
- Follow good practice guidance and comply with health, safety and welfare policies including procedures relating to the reporting of accidents.
- Recognise and eliminate common hazards and risks
- Demonstrate safe working practices and act as a role model
- Consistently check the Safety of the site and coach/brief onsite also complete recorded discussions and make the line manager aware to reduce risk
Supporting the line manager building and maintaining the team
- Support the development and motivation of team members to fulfil their potential
- Be an excellent communicator and check understanding be clear and concise in directions to all team members
- Be a good listener and support team members if they need help or support
- Complete reports required– Quality & Safety Checks/Sick issues/Vehicle issues and ad-hoc reporting
- Work with the line manager on Career pathways to gain evidence and engage with team members to support in the development
- Lead role as an ambassador for GPTW key messages and issues
- Work with line manager to organise Stores at FSL where required
- Be confident in raising issues to the line manager before they have an impact
- Promote Team working and callout those that have gone Above and Beyond within their role
What We Are Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in cabling infrastructure environment within underground duct networks and/or internal cabling structures within buildings
- Experience in delivering timely and detailed online reports
- Supervisory experience and ability to lead a team
- Tenacious and determined to deliver results
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly direct others
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Be able to demonstrate excellent coaching skills to develop others
