Company Description

Catch22 exists to build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose—our '3Ps'. We achieve this in two key ways: delivering frontline public services and using our expertise to transform the system that can disempower those it was designed to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, Catch22 is uniquely positioned to tackle this challenge.

In our Justice Hub, we support young people and adults in custody and in the community. Our services range from offender management and resettlement to mentoring, youth justice, and victim support. We believe in providing the right interventions and support to help individuals desist from crime and achieve their true potential. We take pride in developing our staff, with 73% of our management team having progressed from frontline roles within the organisation.

At Catch22, you’ll be joining a team that is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives while helping to shape a fairer, more inclusive society.

Job Description

As a Prison and Community Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in Catch22’s Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS), which includes Personal Wellbeing, Finance Benefit & Debt, and Dependency & Recovery services. Your primary objective will be to generate a steady pipeline of appropriate referrals of People on Probation (POPs) and service users in custody, expanding our reach and improving outcomes in low referral areas.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Building and maintaining relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies, third-sector organisations, and voluntary groups to strengthen referral networks.
  • Enhancing Catch22’s profile and maintaining a seamless referral pathway between operational teams and key stakeholders, including HMPPS and Probation Practitioners.
  • Holding a small caseload when required to support CRS teams during peak referral periods.
  • Creating promotional materials, case studies, and best practice guidance to improve service awareness and engagement.
  • Delivering training on best practices for engaging service users in prison and community settings.
  • Developing and maintaining referral and signposting opportunities for service users to improve resettlement outcomes.
  • Representing Catch22 in external meetings to promote service user-centred outcomes and service achievements.
  • You will work closely with Catch22, HMPPS, Probation, and a range of other statutory and voluntary organisations to achieve the best outcomes for service users.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A confident, professional, and enthusiastic approach with the ability to communicate and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience in relationship building, with the ability to work collaboratively toward shared goals.
  • A creative and solution-focused mindset, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • A willingness to travel across multiple locations, including prisons and community settings.
  • A logical, analytical approach with attention to detail and a methodical work ethic.
