Role Description:
The Private Client Lending Specialist is responsible for partnering with relationship managers to structure lending solutions that achieve optimal client and commercial outcomes. This role requires experience in engaging with clients to understand their needs, structuring deals with appropriate levels of risk assessment, and pricing accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Structuring and Client Interaction:
- Understand Private Client strategic outcomes and commercial objectives.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Investec's lending proposition, including product offerings and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with Relationship Managers and clients to understand their requirements and provide appropriate lending solutions.
- Credit Application Preparation:
- Prepare credit applications, loan, and mortgage agreements, ensuring accurate documentation across the lending process.
- Ensure compliance with Investec's policies and procedures regarding lending exposures.
- Performance Management:
- Meet performance outcomes set in your performance framework, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Continuously review performance to identify opportunities for improvement in speed, efficiency, and commercial outcomes.
- Data Management and Market Insights:
- Take ownership of client data and leverage CRM systems to drive performance.
- Stay informed about market trends and economic factors relevant to client interactions, especially in the mortgage market.
