Purpose of Role:
- Global Technical Authority and functional leadership of the Process Engineering discipline. Accountable for the Process Engineering discipline leadership, assurance, and governance across Harbour’s global operations
Critical Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Procedures
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
Discipline Leadership & Business Support:
- Provides expertise to support full lifecycle asset integrity within Harbour Energy
- Owns and develops common corporate Process engineering systems and tools
- Sets Discipline competency standards and appoints BU Technical Authorities
- Actively promotes continuous improvement, sharing best practice and consistent approaches across the Company. Supports recruitment/ resourcing, personnel development, career development etc across the Function. Including identifying personnel to independently review other BU operations (cross learning)
- Identifies and champions innovation/technology implementation across the business
Assurance:
- Provides Process engineering assurance for major projects within the Harbour Energy portfolio including Flow Assurance. Co-ordinates the provision of other related specialist SMEs that may be required for assurance activity
- Provides technical assurance and technical support across the Company where required
- In conjunction with the other Corporate TAs, ensures suitable assessment, reporting and mitigation of higher level engineering discipline risk. Where required, provides assurance of enterprise level Process engineering risk
Governance:
- Owner of the Corporate Process Engineering Standards and Processes that support full lifecycle asset integrity and safe and efficient operations. Ensuring standard/process alignment with good industry practice and that they are understood and applied within the Business Units
- Accountable for review and approval of requested deviations from Corporate standards and Process
- Owner of Corporate Process Engineering Audit Schedule and carries out Reviews, Audits and Investigations as required
- Represents the Company with relevant Industry Bodies and External Stakeholders
Critical Skills:
- Degree in relevant engineering or science subject/or equivalent experience
- Professional/Chartered Engineering qualification
- Extensive knowledge of oil and gas Process Engineering across the full asset lifecycle and diverse geographical settings
- Deep understanding of Major Accident Hazard risk management
- Significant experience in leadership, management, and mentoring
- Demonstrable experience of management and delivery across studies, projects and business change
- Experience of contract management processes and possesses a high level of commercial awareness
- Fully conversant with industry codes, standards and relevant legislation
- Must hold or able to obtain a UK and International required offshore visitor qualifications/certification
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- High level of leadership and influencing skills
- Able to present and communicate effectively to all levels of authority and technical expertise
- Able to apply sound engineering judgement and make decisions under pressure
