Job Description

Do you want to join our Geo-data revolution? Fugro’s global reach and unique know-how will put the world at your fingertips. Our love of exploration and

technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and

efficiently. But we’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us. For bright minds who enjoy meaningful work and want to push our pioneering spirit further. For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Fugro in Aberdeen for a Processing Support Lead on a 6 month fixed term contract with scope for extension. We are looking to bring in a Processing Support Lead to strengthen our Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) business line.

The role provides data processing support on and offshore throughout project life cycles and assists the MAI client deliverables team with all

processing-related tasks. It involves providing feedback and recommendations to offshore and onshore teams, the processing workflow team, and third parties on software and processing techniques.

The Processing Support Lead works closely with the MAI Client deliverables team, particularly the Processing Support Engineer and processing personnel on and offshore, to increase efficiency and develop new ways of working. Responsibilities include setting up and operating various data processing

systems, undertaking QC and processing of acquired survey datasets, providing processing support to both onshore and field operations, championing remote services, and supporting the integration of remote services technology into

operational workflows. The role reports directly to the MAI Client Deliverables Manager and has direct reports of Processing Support Engineers.

Key internal contacts include the MAI Client Deliverables Manager, Processing Supervisor, Senior Data Processors, Technical Lead Data Processor, Processing Support Engineer, and all data processors throughout the worksites. External contacts include clients and third-party software and hardware providers.

Key responsibilities include providing ongoing support for all data processing activities, evaluating and testing software performance, providing analysis for remote processing support, assisting with workflow design, identifying personal and colleagues' training needs, and tracking software deployment.

KPIs include providing processing support to ensure successful campaign

completion, taking ownership of workflow and software testing, ensuring

training needs are met, communicating workflow issues, and reviewing ITTs for tenders.

Technical competencies required include advanced skills in Data Processor and Starfix Classic, intermediate skills in EIVA – NaviModel Producer, EIVA - NaviEdit, Starfix NG, and Delph INS.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Earth or Data Science, advanced experience as a Data Processor, and foundational management experience. Proficiency in English is required.
