Procurement Consultant - Capital Programmes

The Opportunity

We are growing rapidly across all categories, but especially in Construction & Capital Programmes Procurement, with significant expansion across the UK, Europe and the US. Our team partners with some of the largest utilities, infrastructure operators and capital programme owners, helping to deliver multi-million-pound frameworks including AMP8 water programmes and major infrastructure works across sectors.

We’re seeking experienced procurement professionals with a strong track record in delivering complex capital programmes, infrastructure, and major construction projects. You’ll bring a solid grasp of public and private sector regulations, NEC/JCT contracts, and have outstanding commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring sector-specific experience across infrastructure, civils, utilities, and building construction programmes.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that meet challenging programme timelines and budgets.
• Lead sourcing for major construction-related categories (e.g. Aggregates, Civils, M&E, Specialist Contractors).
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and market intelligence.
• Influence senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with capital delivery priorities.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement and delivery risks.
• Establish baselines, measure performance, and report progress to clients and Programme Managers.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and mentoring to junior team members.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering, Utilities or Construction Procurement for high-value capital projects or frameworks (e.g. AMP7/8).
• Confident working within regulated environments, with knowledge of public procurement rules (UCR, PA23) and contracts such as NEC and JCT.
• Proven track record influencing and partnering with engineering, project delivery, and commercial teams.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and risk management skills.
• Team leadership experience and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent organisational and programme management skills.
