About The Role And The Team
Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement for Infrastructure, the Procurement Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our strategic sourcing agenda. Responsible for leading complex procurement initiatives across a range of Infrastructure sub-categories, the role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement skills, and an analytical mindset. Working closely with the Head of Procurement, this individual will be instrumental in driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation across the supply base.
We're looking for someone with recent similar experience who can hit the ground running. While we're not particular about sector experience, you should have a solid understanding of procurement processes and governance, ideally with CIPS certification. The ideal candidate will be analytical and data-driven, with strong Excel skills and experience working with data from SAP. You should be adaptable and comfortable working in a developing organisation, capable of taking a brief and running with it.
What will you be doing?
- Support development and implementation of category strategies aligned to business goals and procurement best practices.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including market assessments, supplier engagement strategies, and tender management.
- Support planning and execution of contract negotiations, securing commercially sound and sustainable agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, build sourcing plans, and deliver project outcomes.
- Deliver cost savings, mitigate supply risk, and create value beyond price through TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) principles.
- Prepare and deliver clear business cases and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
What we are looking for?:
- Demonstrable experience in a Procurement role, ideally in telecoms, technology, or infrastructure sectors.
- A strong track record of leading sourcing projects and negotiations that deliver real business outcomes.
- Comfortable working at pace in a dynamic environment, with strong project and time management skills.
- High level of self-awareness, resilience, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make confident decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement systems (e.g., e-sourcing tools, ERP platforms).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills — able to collaborate, challenge, and build trust.
