THE ROLE IN SHORT:

The global Product Design team is responsible for designing and continuously improving our global fleet management, e-mobility, and asset management solutions (web-based platforms and native apps). We are seeking a Product Designer to lead design initiatives, elevate the design team's impact, and ensure that our products deliver exceptional experiences for our users. As we integrate multiple platforms into a cohesive experience and expand our product portfolio, this role is critical in shaping the strategy and execution of design across value streams.

This is an opportunity to bring your design expertise, creativity, and strategic thinking to a team working at the intersection of user needs and business goals.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING:

  • Lead design initiatives: Drive UX/UI design for complex web and native applications, influencing both tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Partner across functions: Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders, to identify and solve user and business problems through innovative design solutions.
  • Define and measure success: Identify and track key success metrics for your projects and ensure iterative progress through incremental design improvements.
  • Deliver end-to-end designs: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate concepts and solutions effectively.
  • User research and testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and refine solutions.
  • Mentor and guide: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Champion design excellence: Advocate for a consistent and high-quality design language across all products, ensuring pixel-perfect attention to detail.
  • Foster alignment: Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to align cross-functional teams on goals, direction, and priorities.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE:

  • Degree in UX/UI, visual design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the UX/UI design space, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful work.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in sizing and prioritizing design work.
  • Experience working in an agile, cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong understanding of product design systems and their implementation.
  • Strategic thinking with a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and levels.
  • Detail-orientation and drive to craft elegant, scalable solutions to complex problems.
  • Resilience and resourcefulness, able to navigate constraints to find the best outcomes.
  • Skills that can balance short-term needs with long-term product vision.

Work-life balance is important to us at Michelin Connected Fleet, so we offer our teams as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role. We trust our teams to know how they work best, combining remote and collaborative working, with a flexible approach to hours. This allows our people the time and space for life outside of work.
