Shape the Future of Talent in Product

Join our dynamic Product Learning & Development team and be at the forefront of transforming our learning and development offering for both our internal product teams and valued partners. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing future talent and upskilling existing employees at all levels. If you're passionate about growth, impact, and being part of a forward-thinking team, this is the challenge for you..

Your role:

As a Product Learning Specialist, you will be instrumental in empowering our partner and wholly-owned brand merchandising teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering impactful training: Providing comprehensive system training (Stock Planning, Line Flow, Range Builder) alongside merchandising theory and best practices to partner merchandising teams.
  • Designing engaging learning experiences: Creating effective and tailored training materials specifically for our partner product teams.
  • Facilitating seamless integration: Supporting the successful integration of our product systems with partner operations.
  • Championing our Learning Experience Platform: Assisting with the implementation of our new Thrive platform for partners, including designing, uploading, and managing partner-specific content.
  • Driving partner success: Identifying onboarding challenges, sharing best practices, and pinpointing knowledge gaps to optimise partner workflows and trading strategies.
  • Building strong relationships: Developing strong networks and effectively influencing stakeholders within partner organisations. This client-facing role requires regular travel between our Enderby office and partner sites, with the flexibility to be away from home for consecutive days when delivering on-site training.
  • Contributing to internal development: Occasionally delivering job-specific and merchandising skills training to trainees and assistant-level employees within NEXT as part of our new Product Academy.

What You'll Bring:

  • You are a dynamic and creative individual who thrives on taking initiative and being proactive.
  • You are driven by the opportunity to make a tangible impact through the training and development of others.
  • A strong background in merchandising and a deep understanding of our product systems and processes are essential.
  • While an L&D background isn't mandatory, experience in training or mentoring team members would be advantageous.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, including strong questioning techniques and the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Patience, resilience, and confidence are key attributes.
  • You have the ability to connect with and inspire individuals at all levels within partner organisations.
  • You have a genuine passion for building and developing training programmes that empower others to grow and succeed.
  • You are a collaborative and enthusiastic team player who takes ownership of projects.
  • Crucially, you are agile and flexible in your approach, adapting to the unique and evolving needs of our partners.
  • You are forward-thinking and innovative, constantly seeking ways to improve and enhance the partner learning experience.
