The Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) profession enable the Home Office to keep the UK safe and secure. They do this by designing, building, and running the services that help people apply for visas or passports, support policing and counter-terrorism operations, and protect the UK’s borders. We are currently recruiting Product Managers for two distinct portfolios: Data Services & Analytics and Police and Public Protection Technology.
Data Services & Analytics (DSA) is among the most advanced data analytics centres in Government. At the heart of the Home Office’s data transformation, DSA delivers strategic value through innovative data insight services. It leads in applying analytics to real Government challenges, helping the department achieve its mission. In this role, you’ll manage business-critical products used daily across the Home Office. Success relies on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build secure, resilient, and user-focused solutions. DSA’s work ensures the department remains responsive to evolving needs, driving efficiency and informed decision-making through data.
The Police and Public Protection Technology Portfolio (PPPT), part of the Home Office’s Digital Data and Technology (DDaT), delivers digital solutions for policing and public protection. Serving all UK police forces and over 20 law enforcement agencies, PPPT designs, builds, and supports major transformation programmes like NLEDP and HOB. It also maintains critical systems such as the Police National Computer (PNC) and Police National Database (PND), and leads infrastructure upgrades like LECN and LECP. Within PPPT, the National Communications Data Service (NCDS) ensures communications data is accessible and operationally valuable amid ongoing technical and business change.
A Product Manager will use their knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame and solve problems and set priorities for delivery teams. You will be responsible for the overall vision and quality of the product being delivered (sometimes in conjunction with a Senior or Lead Product Manager).
