Description

As the Product Manager (Communications), you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of communication products, including Unified Communications, VoIP, and other communication solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and product management skills to effectively lead and ensure the success of our communications offerings. You will own the product end-to-end, from presales to system configuration and delivery.

You will play a key role in driving customer uptake and ensuring optimal product performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering innovation by introducing enhanced service offerings and value-added services. On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and maximise customer engagement.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for communications solutions.

  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product strategy with company goals.


Product Development

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch.

  • Engage and manage product vendors, including onboarding, management, and leveraging strategic partnerships.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to develop and enhance communication products.

  • Ensure products meet regulatory and compliance requirements.


Presales
  • Act as a presales resource for communications products, liaising directly with customers to solutionise their requirements.
Product Management

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including planning, development, launch, and post-launch activities.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product performance and strategic initiatives.


Customer and Market Insights

  • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new product development.

  • Develop strong relationships with key customers and partners to understand their needs and challenges.

  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organisation.


Sales and Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and sales enablement materials.

  • Provide product training and support to sales teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth.

  • Participate in customer presentations, trade shows, and industry events to promote our communication products.


System Configuration and Delivery

  • Own the product end-to-end, from presales to system configuration and delivery.

  • Work with the presales team to develop proposals and solutions that meet customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with the operational service delivery and provisioning teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of customers' communication solutions.

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in communication technologies.



Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in the communications industry.

  • Strong knowledge of Unified Communications (UC/UCaaS) products, technologies, and best practices.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing communications products.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Outstanding communication, social, and organisational skills.

  • High degree of initiative and leadership, with the ability to engage teams and drive a product through its lifecycle.

  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude, capable of managing challenges with ease.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with excellent written and oral skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others, demonstrating reliability and responsibility.


Desired Requirements

  • 1+ years of product management experience.

  • Proficiency in IT, with specific reference to Microsoft or Google suite of packages.

  • Full driving licence, as travel may be required for the role
