What we’re looking for

We are looking for an effective Product Manager to join our Data Science team. You will plan, coordinate, and execute on product spec-driven Data Science projects. You will work very closely with your direct line manager as you learn the in-house playbook. Managing and communicating with stakeholders up and down the value chain – from the technical details to more client-facing aspects – is a key part of this role.

What will you be doing

• Enhance the utilization of the capabilities of the Data Science Studio.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute on product spec-driven Data Science projects according to the in-house playbook for integration within the Data Science Studio. A non-exhaustive list of what this entails:
• Build rapport with all relevant internal stakeholders for the project
• Clarify the high-level vision for the product and the integration with the Data Science Studio.
• Formalize the practical requirements necessary to achieve the high-level vision and produce all the necessary documentation needed for the product spec
• Seek out and coordinate all the necessary resources to deliver on the product
• Plan out the timelines and work allocations in Gantt chart format
• Manage the timely execution of the planned work
• Communicate on progress to the steering committee and line manager
• Manage expectations and protect the project from feature creep
• Work with Data Science to advance the Data Science Studio, Possibility Curves and Forward Curves.
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Strong desire and passion to learn
• Comfortable in fluid situations where you’re the one that brings structure and direction
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to put in the work to get a project done
• Good product sense/intuition
• Ability to multi-task against multiple projects
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization, i.e. project-based reporting lines and collaborators
• Nice to have: Domain knowledge in any commodity sector
