Product Owner

The Opportunity

In collaboration with the Product Managers, you will analyse, design, organise, prioritise and assess work for the development team to deliver on the product vision and roadmap with a focus on bringing value, solving problems and building powerful and engaging outcomes to existing and prospective customers.

The ideal candidate must have domain airport or airline knowledge or experience.

Responsibiities

• Craft and articulate the product vision and strategy to the development teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in the product roadmap.
• Oversee, refine, and prioritize the product backlog, aligning with project specifications, strategic goals, and the overarching product roadmap.
• Refine user stories with the team to ensure the backlog contains the expected level of detail for the development team to work efficiently.
• Evaluate the strategic importance of epics and user stories, ensuring prioritization aligns with product vision and delivers maximum value.
• Work closely with the solution architects, project managers, and development team to ensure that the product and solution fulfil the requirements.
• Ensure that solutions meet user needs and adhere to product readiness standards before release.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise, data, and domain experience needed by bid teams for proposals and presentations.
• Provide content for product descriptions, marketing collateral, and company-sponsored events.
• Maintain all product documentation for assigned product(s).
• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned product(s) within the company.
• Manage the documentation and artifacts to support QG5 Process
• Work with all departments to improve business processes and product development, recommending new systems or product upgrades.

Additional areas of responsibilities

• Share knowledge and experience with other members of the Products team to develop a common understanding and approach to product direction and development.
• Provide product and feature descriptions for inclusion in commercial proposals.
• Prepare and deliver presentations at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and customer events worldwide.
• Prepare and organise product demonstrations to win opportunities.

Experience & Qualifications

• Expertise and experience in the airport or airline industry domain
• Certified Scrum Product Owner, or very good knowledge of Agile process and principles;
• Proven experience working in an Agile team;
• Experience of using Azure DevOps to manage Epics, Features and User Story backlogs
• Knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle design and implementation;
• Ability to communicate technical information to a business user and translate business process requirements into technical solutions design;

Desirable experience

Ability to work with minimal direction, and able to work in a team environment.Basic service qualification – e.g. ITIL Foundation.Basic project management methodology training – e.g. Prince II foundation.
