Role And Responsibilities
Purpose of the role
- To provide an elite level of commercial, forecasting and data management/analysis/simulation to the DA Product Team (PM’s) & Senior Leadership Team.
- To use a wide range of data sets to analyse data & contribute to the Product Strategy across all DA categories.
- To support the wider Samsung finance teams with DA related commercial analysis at Local, European & HQ levels.
- Take joint accountability with each product manager for the P&L of each DA category and ensuring the delivery of profitable growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the development & maintenance of quarterly promotional plans through commercial simulation with sellout, sell in and Profit analysis.
- Create & Maintain PM business planning tools to aid with commercial decision-making.
- Provide scenario planning to the PM team and SLT teams that will guide product management related decisions.
- Work closely with each Product Manager to ensure that all targets for Sell-In and Sell-out (volume and value) as well as profitability are met.
- Analysis of sell-out performance and promotional simulations to monitor accuracy and provide proposals for improvement.
- Support the weekly analysis of product sales forecasts to enable accurate and timely forecasting decisions to be made.
- Take ownership of updating internal commercial forecasts on a monthly basis, adapting to ensure the views of all key team members are accurately reflected.
- Support the launch process for new products and projects across DA and lead the post-launch reporting in the form of a Launch Dashboard – analysing performance and making appropriate recommendations for action.
- Be the lead in the Annual Planning budget setting working with the PM & HQ teams to load the budget into the system on time and aligned to KPI’s
What We Need For This Role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Advanced level of Excel skills
- Ideally Fluent in Korean & English
- Experience of handling large quantities of data to make complicated decisions
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills & comfortable presenting at all levels
- Creative thinking with an ability to break complex problems down into simple, meaningful solutions
- Self-motivator and self-starter
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible & adaptable with ability to work in cross functional teams
- Ability to work at a fast pace, with accuracy, in a changing environment across multiple projects
- Ability to make decisions with full understanding of impacts and wider business trade offs

The interview process
Two stage interview process – 1 Stage with Hiring Manager, (Head of Product ) if shortlisted; 2nd stage will be Technical assessment (analytics and presentation of findings) and meeting the Head of Product Management & Senior PM.
