A leading European organisation specialising in advanced material manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimise their post-build production processes at their facility in the West Berkshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality, functional parts made from sophisticated materials to a diverse range of industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various teams involved in the production stages, managing procurement activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production workflows. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all post-build production activities, including finishing, post-processing, and quality control.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of parts to customers, meeting agreed-upon deadlines and quality standards.
- Manage procurement processes and raise necessary purchase orders.
- Oversee and coordinate effective communication and collaboration across internal teams and with external partners.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide strong leadership and motivation to the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all manufactured parts are thoroughly cleaned, properly prepared, and securely packaged according to established procedures.
- Act as a central point of coordination and communication between the teams.
- Proactively ensure the manufacturing process is running smoothly and according to planned schedules.
Requirements:
- Proven and demonstrable experience in production management and coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong people management and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent planning, organising, and prioritisation abilities, with a focus on efficient resource allocation.
- A solid understanding of KPI reporting and data analysis techniques to drive informed decision-making.
- Experience in business administration principles relevant to production operations.
- A strong delivery-centric mindset with a clear focus on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- A hands-on approach and a willingness to work closely with the production team on the shopfloor.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and manage both internal and external relationships.
