Job Purpose

In line with the Global Planning Processes and Policies, as well as local Planning Procedures, the Production Planner will act as a point of contact for the Assembly & Test/Manufacturing Manager regarding status updates for the product deliveries. The Production Planner will interface with different areas of the business with the goal to achieve on time delivery of the products in high complexity projects. The Production Planner will assess and analyse progress of products during the manufacturing cycle from pre-production, through start capability, work in progress and completion of product. Working with the A&T/Manufacturing to support, mitigate and resolve actions acting towards the Delivery of Customer Scope of Supply/Work to agreed MRP Dates. The Production Planner will also be responsible for their cells/manufacturing areas where they will work with Production engineering, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Operational support team to achieve the business needs. on cross project initiatives, technical planning support, escalation and mitigation actions to achieve production/business goals

Job Description

Main Accountabilities:

  • Work with the centralized rework team to analyse, manage and progress rework for component level/module level rework to ensure flow in manufacturing and prevent delays to product deliveries.
  • Critical flow analysis and mitigation for high complexity products. Monitor & analyse the scope of supply/work in relation to MRP dates, managing the product risks, highlighting constraints to manufacturing team and escalating/ activating help chain as needed.
  • Verify and ensure system integrity (P6 / SAP alignment), being responsible for the dates when releasing and maintaining the work orders for their product scope of supply with manufacturing and planning approval.
  • Analyse, support and act on scope of supply/scope of work changes (ECN’s, QN’s, VOR’s) being the focal point for product changes.
  • Progress analysis & reporting – collaborate with production planning/manufacturing to find best solution for project shortages/flow risks or stoppages (in support of “Starts Obeyas” and “Validation meetings").

Essential Skills

You are meant for this job if:

  • The ability to understand and demonstrate product knowledge - solid practical understanding of engineering BOM’s and the Engineering Execution Process (EEP)
  • Competent and experience in the application use of SAP/ MRP system and Primavera P6.
  • Experience in a product design and manufacture environment
  • Understanding of Material Planning, Master Scheduling, Project Manufacturing Management and Procurement processes.

Desirable

  • General analysis and reporting
  • Intermediate knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and processes, being capable to apply some of the tools
  • Gant Chart creation, updating and maintenance
  • Practical experience of TechnipFMC Business Systems and Processes
  • Knowledge and appreciation of critical path planning and analysis
