Purpose
The position of PMO Manager operates within the ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) Program Office and ensures quality assurance and adherence to our Program Office processes.
This role will cover all aspects utilised by the Onshore Renewables team from Development through to Delivery.
As PMO Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining governance within the portfolio of projects by managing our key processes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and managing stage gates from Origination through to Delivery, you will facilitate meetings and define terms of reference, ensuring checklists are in place and compliant with the process.
Planning and managing Project Review Board meetings from Origination, through to Handover then onto Delivery, you will facilitate meetings and define terms of reference, ensuring adherence to the reporting cycle and all Project Director reports are issued on time and comply with the process.
Managing the roll out of Risk Management methodology from Origination, through to Handover then onto Operations, you will plan and manage the Risk management portfolio process, escalating meetings from Origination through to Operations.
Organising risk governance meetings and defining terms of reference, you will track project portfolio risks, manage our risk reporting cycle and ensure consistency of scoring.
Facilitating Program Office workshops as required, including lessons learnt and improvement sessions, you will implement frameworks and methodologies, ensuring that the management of project portfolio’s are standardised and consistent.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level in a Business or Technical discipline.
With project or programme management certification, you will be a strong facilitator and possess people management and people relationship skills.
With the ability to manage cyclic reporting processes within tight timelines, you will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and strong understanding of project governance and controls.
Knowledgeable in the Renewables industry (Wind, Solar and BESS are preferred but not essential), you will be familiar with Power BI and managing programmes of work.
An excellent communicator, you will be a leader of people, utilising your previous experience managing and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
