Job Title: Programme Delivery Lead - Central
Location: West/East Sussex (remote/hybrid)

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: circa £70,000 depending on skills and experience
Storm overflows are very provocative and not acceptable to our customers and stakeholders. We want to lead the charge in resolving the current situation. That’s where our Clean Rivers & Seas Task Force comes in, implementing pioneering and industry-leading solutions to reduce spills and reliance on overflows whilst also enhancing the environment for our communities. Currently delivering a £45million pathfinder programme which rapidly expands to £1.5billion over next 10 years. The programme has been very successful, and we are now expanding the team so we can continue to work in partnership to deliver a larger programme of sustainable and innovative interventions to reduce the use of storm overflows.
A brand-new position has been created to join our Clean Rivers & Seas Task Force as a Programme Delivery Lead.
Job Overview
- Act as the main lead for the storm overflow task force to drive the delivery of the storm overflow pathfinders.
- Responsible for coordinating all work to achieve the pathfinder outcome including work study, planning and costing, as well as delivery of the interventions to achieve an 80% reduction of spills frequency and\or flooding risk in each catchment.
- The Delivery Lead will demonstrate partnership approaches at scale, influencing our strategic direction and the assumption base used nationally.
- Manage all engagement within the pathfinder by acting as the single point of contact for all external contacts (EA, MPs, Cllrs, stakeholder groups, campaign groups etc.) concerning activity and coordination in these catchments.

- Experience of wastewater industry particular network operations and\or design.
- Strong management and leaderships skills with the ability to motivate and drive.
- Able to positively engage with employees and the team.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial management.
- Understands how local government, regulators and stakeholder group’s function.
- Ability to find partnership opportunities to deliver solutions
- You will be resilient, adaptable with good influencing and communication skills.
