Allen Lane are delighted to be supporting the London Borough of Hounslow in their search for an experienced Programme Manager on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in supporting their Digital Transformation and Transforming Customer Experience (TCE) programme. Please note that this is a hybrid with one day per week required on-site in Hounslow.
The role
As a Programme Manager you will:
- Lead a team of up to 6 members of staff to deliver key programmes of work
- Manage Technical IT/Digital projects relating to a number of areas including : Infrastructure, Adult & Children’s social care, Housing, planning & regulatory services.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the digital strategy and project portfolio
- Develop project and programme approaches, processes and procedures ensuring they link with Service Design, Business Relationship management and are effectively implemented into BAU teams.
- Encourage new ways of working on project delivery including the incorporation of agile approaches, service design and prototyping of new products and services.
- Consistently create and evolve business cases including benefits realization throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key skills required
As a Programme Manager you will have :
- Excellent problem-solving skills from both a technical and change perspective.
- Previous experience in managing significant projects and programmes of work relating to digital and IT including system upgrades & implementations.
- A proven track record of leading and inspiring teams to deliver complex digital transformation projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
- A broad understanding of technical and digital solutions and how they impact service users.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess and estimate the impact of changes to processes, applications, data and technology.
What you get in return
A salary between £58,692 - £64,317 plus a range of excellent benefits including the local government pension scheme.
