The Czech state energy company CEZ has selected Rolls Royce SMR’s (RR-SMR) as the single SMR technology for its SMR deployments. The first SMR unit is to be built at the Temelin site, adjacent to the existing large nuclear units. As RR-SMR's first active customer project, successful mobilisation and flawless delivery from the start are essential.
The RR-SMR CEZ Programme Team will initially manage pre-contract engagement and mobilisation for contract delivery. Following Contract Award the team’s focus will include delivery of Rolls-Royce SMR’s scope under the Contract.
Working as part of RR-SMR CEZ Programme Team and reporting to the CEZ Head of Programme, the Programme Manager will lead the development, and implementation of several inter-related projects and initiatives within the CEZ Programme, through strategic planning and coordination, resource management, risk mitigation and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to align outcomes with RR-SMR’s goals.
Both customer facing and working across the RR-SMR organisation, a collaborative approach is essential along with strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and ensure projects are completed successfully and achieve the desired outcomes.
The Programme Manager – Temelin, will be accountable for coordinating and managing the planning of the Engineering Manufacture and Assembly (EMA) Contract scope for the Temelin project, including scope, Division of Responsibilities, schedule, estimate, risk and production of the Project Execution Plan. Moving forward there will be opportunity for growth as Temelin progresses.
The Programme Manager key accountabilities include:
- Develop the scope, costs, schedule of a programme of projects & activities, integrate and coordinate successful delivery, whilst achieving high levels of Customer satisfaction.
- Working within our matrix environment, resource management, and co-ordination of teams comprising direct reports and resources from across the organisation and supply chain to deliver activities & projects within the programme including:
- Recruitment, management and development of project and assistant project managers within the programme & projects function.
- Working across the organisation to secure the resources necessary to delivery programme and project activities from other functions
- Working with RR-SMR’s supply chain team to secure and manage delivery from suppliers
- Management, building and maintaining good working relationships with Customer and key stakeholders through effective stakeholder management and communication plans.
- Development and delivery of the Programme including:-
- Preparing the Programme / Project documentation such as Programme & Project Management Plans etc.
- Defining scope, critical milestones, and budget. Working with Project Managers, functions and the PMO team to develop detailed, cost loaded schedules.
- Analysis of float and contingencies to help build delivery confidence.
- Monitoring and co-ordinating interfaces and dependencies across the RR SMR Programme and resolving conflicts.
- Ensure appropriate management of risk issues and opportunities including leading mitigation planning as required.
- Develop processes, tools and programme /project arrangements to manage delivery
- Performance management, data analysis & data driven decision making. Business, programme and project reporting in accordance with RR SMR requirements including: -
- Monitoring progress, analyse and interpret data and take appropriate corrective action to deliver and improve performance against critical measures.

- Manage benchmarking and learning from experience and embed this to build delivery confidence and improve our fleet wide delivery including.

Pay And Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary between £68,000 - £90,000 Dependant on Experience
- Bonus - Short Term Incentive - Performance Based- target opportunity 17%
