SCX is the special mechanical handling solutions projects division of Kinetic Solutions Group (KSG), a leading specialist engineering company based in Sheffield. We are seeking a suitably experienced and dynamic Project Coordinator to join our team.
The Project Coordinator role is to provide day to day support to the Project teams in all aspects of project management, including:
Project Planning Support
- Assisting in the creation of project plans, timelines, and schedules while co-ordinating
the schedule management cycle through to completion; highlighting risk, issues and recovery actions.
Coordination & Communication
- Acting as a point of contact between stakeholders, clients’, contractors, and project team members.
- Facilitating meetings and ensuring clear communication across teams.
-Ensuring that project-related information is documented and shared properly.
Budget and Resource Management
- Assisting in managing project budgets, tracking in-period cost management and long-term forecasting, ensuring resources (staff, materials, equipment) are allocated efficiently and all issues are reported to the project manager.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identifying potential risks and issues early on and helping in the creation of mitigation strategies. - Providing timely escalation to the project manager when necessary.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintenance of project files, ensuring all documentation is organised and up to date, with all key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones tracked and recorded and the relevant data prepared and included within all status reports and progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Assisting in ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and that the project adheres to company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
Team Support
- Assist with team coordination, making sure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities
and provide support to team members by resolving minor obstacles or facilitating required resources.
Project Execution Assistance
- Support the implementation of project activities in accordance to plan; tracking deliverables and ensuring the project is progressing as scheduled.
Change Management
- Support the management of Scope changes, including updating schedules, analysis of impacts to budgets and schedules through the project change management process; effectively recording all
decisions.
Client Relations
- Assist in communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are managed and met, ensuring client satisfaction through timely delivery of project milestones.
