Project Engineer – Battery Performance to join the Battery Systems department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About The Role
An opportunity has arisen to an Engineer – Cell Technology to join our Battery Systems Department and support the battery development across all electrification programmes at Fortescue Zero in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
What You Will Do
- Representing Fortescue Zero internally as battery cell technical experts
- Evaluating battery cell technology and products
- Defining battery cell test plans and procedures to validate cell performance and safety.
- Analysing battery cells through data analysis and physical analysis.
- Validating cell models.
- Tracking state-of-the-art cells and the broader cell market.
- Engaging with cell suppliers as cell technical experts.
- Representing Fortescue Zero externally as a battery cell technical expert for ongoing project delivery, business development, and academic partnerships.
About You
- A qualification in a STEM course or relevant equivalent experience.
- Experience in data analysis in MATLAB.
- Knowledge of battery cell technologies.
- Familiarity in battery cell testing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
