Project Manager – Finance Transformation

A leading insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the stand-up of a new finance function within a high-profile programme. This role is a key part of a wider strategic initiative to establish a new entity, and will focus on the end-to-end delivery of finance-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead the planning and delivery of finance function stand-up projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Scope & Planning: Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans.
• Resource & Vendor Coordination: Manage internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Execution & Monitoring: Track progress, ensure project milestones are met, and adjust plans as necessary.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage issues.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams and external partners, providing clear updates to senior stakeholders.
• Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
• Quality Control: Ensure deliverables meet organisational standards and stakeholder expectations.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering finance transformation projects, ideally in an insurance framework
• Solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management capabilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools, particularly MS Project.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
