Project Manager – Finance Transformation

A leading insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the stand-up of a new finance function within a high-profile programme. This role is a key part of a wider strategic initiative to establish a new entity, and will focus on the end-to-end delivery of finance-related projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead the planning and delivery of finance function stand-up projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Scope & Planning: Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans.
- Resource & Vendor Coordination: Manage internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Execution & Monitoring: Track progress, ensure project milestones are met, and adjust plans as necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams and external partners, providing clear updates to senior stakeholders.
- Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure deliverables meet organisational standards and stakeholder expectations.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering finance transformation projects, ideally in an insurance framework
- Solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management capabilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools, particularly MS Project.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
