Brief Description
We are looking for a Project Manager within the Safer Trackside Working team in Sussex.

About The Role (External)
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of project plans within Safer Trackside Working Programme
- Manage and direct supply chain support for additional trackside protection, with advice, guidance and ensuring accountability
- Track and share progress against each project milestone in the Profolio
- Support the Programme Manager in reporting, developing strategic and tactical plans and proposals for consideration between Maintenance ,Operations and other Stakeholders in Sussex
- Lead and develop your Project Management Assistant(s) capabilities by providing and supporting opportunities for learning.
- Able to work at pace on a variety of differing tasks whilst leading and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders across route and region
- Manage the Contractor(s) to ensure the additional protection measures are sustainable and always available when required
- Manage the development and delivery of projects in compliance with company processes and procedures
- Manage the production of project management plans for projects
- Deliver regular progress reports on change projects, including relevant risks and issues, to the Programme Manager
- Manage project budgets within agreed targets
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
- Degree or equivalent
- Relevant successful experience in project management and stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM)
- Team leader capable of motivating the team
- Commercial and financial understanding and knowledge
- Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
- Experience of r eporting, presentation and creation of reports to demonstrate project health
- Experience of applying project methodologies
Desirable
- Member of project association
- Knowledge of investment processes and procedures
- Knowledge of the principles in Maintenance
- Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry
