An overview of the role
With a strong project management background, you will be responsible for managing and delivering several OGI customer facing projects and changes simultaneously, in line with stakeholder expectations, whilst demonstrating our core values to ensure a high level of satisfaction is achieved. Tight management of scope, schedule and budget are paramount in this role.
Please note, this is a hybrid position requiring office attendance twice a week.
Your key responsibilities
- Communicate effectively across all levels, both internally and externally
- Take responsibility for the delivery of customer contracted products/projects, from initiation through to completion, within agreed timescales and budget
- Proactively monitor and manage risks and issues associated to project deliveries
- Mentor, coach and advance the knowledge & experience of other team members
- Produce high standards of documentation on a project-by-project basis, in order to plan, monitor and control customer facing projects across all Open GI departments
- Meet and exceed individual and team targets in respect of budget management, milestone delivery and service provision
- Formally provide feedback via a lessons learnt process and maintain a continuous improvement culture
- Provide support and guidance relating to new contracts and pre-contract planning
- Issue periodic reporting to the business, including but not limited to, delivery RAG status, risks and issues, budget and delivery status
- Ensure project financials and deliverables are forecasted appropriately, enabling invoices to be triggered as per the contract clauses and/or project delivery status
- Provide an excellent customer service by maintaining effective and timely customer liaison at all times, in relation to the project plan, progress updates and resolution of reported issues
Experience
- Proven project management experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of Software Development life cycles
- Working knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologies
- Working in a customer facing role (advantageous)
- Experience working as part of a technical delivery team
