Job Description
GMG is looking for a Project Support Officer to support the Business Transformation team in leading GMG’s contribution and response to One NIHR, a large-scale business change programme established in 2022 with the aim of making NIHR easier to navigate and work with. As an administrative professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the activities of One NIHR. If you are an experienced administrator with strong IT skills and a passion for making a difference, we want to hear from you.
Role Description
- Provide workstream support for the One NIHR Theme 2 Business Process Standardisation Workstream and Standard Application Workstream
- Organizing virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams
- Preparing meeting materials such as agendas and presentations
- Minute writing for a variety of team meetings involving both internal and external staff
- Preparing and maintaining online documents, spreadsheets, and templates
- Organizing and managing online folders and filing structures
- Managing a mailbox, responding to queries or escalating to appropriate colleagues as required
- Take the initiative to suggest improvements to your areas of responsibility
- Carry out other administrative tasks as required by the Business Transformation Team
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months of experience in an administrative or project support role
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including maths and English
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, working to challenging targets and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and command of written and spoken English
- Meticulous attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, adhere to guidelines, and actively seek innovative resolutions
- Excellent problem solving skills, with a solution based approach
- Determination to achieve goals and strive for improvements
- Strong team working abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google suite

This is an office based, home working (hybrid) role with an expectation for all employees to attend our offices a minimum of 4 days a month, which might increase, subject to team requirements.
