Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Propulsion Test & Investigation Technician at the Wolverhampton location - EPMC. As a Propulsion Test & Investigation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products exceed customer expectations and meet the highest quality standards. Your mission will be to define, maintain, and develop cutting-edge test processes, investigations, facilities, and systems that align with stringent Engineering Specifications and Conformity of Production requirements. You will be the driving force behind Battery, EDU and ICE Dyno /Shaker Testing, product strip back - TAG for Quality analysis ensuring that every propulsion test is a Quality driven event, is robust and reliable. All this whilst ensuring the customer is being delivered Quality results and Quality products whilst adhering to our JLR Creators Code.



Qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent certification


What you'll need

  • Technical understanding of Powertrain/Propulsion Test – Battery, EDU and Engines.
  • Good Problem Solving and Communication skills
  • Experience in Propulsion Test and Teardown activities
  • Calibration knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Test Cell conditions/environment using applications such as AVL Puma, ETAS INCA toolset, Fuel Measurement devices, Ambra, and CAN.
  • Capability to lead and coordinate cross-functional concern resolution and improvement activities.
  • Strong analytical and PC skills, including Excel, Tableau, JIRA, MiniTab, AVL ETAS INCA PUMA Concerto, MDA, and other data analysis tools.
