Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and goal-driven prospecting agent to join our team. The candidate will focus on generating leads, building relationships, and scheduling appointments for our sales agents to discuss commercial insurance products. This role is crucial for driving growth in our commercial insurance business by reaching out to potential clients and identifying opportunities for coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Make outbound calls to business owners and decision-makers to introduce commercial insurance products and services.
- Prospecting: Research and identify potential leads within various industries, focusing on companies that may benefit from commercial insurance.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and appointments for the sales team with qualified leads for in-depth consultations.
- Client Engagement: Engage potential clients by discussing their insurance needs, providing basic information about available products, and answering initial questions.
- Data Entry & CRM Management: Accurately record all call details, client interactions, and outcomes in the company’s CRM system for follow-up and tracking purposes.
- Follow-Up: Perform follow-up calls with leads who have shown interest to nurture relationships and keep the sales pipeline active.
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed daily and weekly call quotas, appointment targets, and other KPIs as determined by the sales management team.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the company’s insurance offerings, industry trends, and competitor products to effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Prior experience in cold calling, telemarketing, or sales, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with commercial insurance products - general liability, property, SME’s, and Fleet insurance.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Persuasive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence in achieving goals.
- Tech-Savvy:
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other basic office tools.
- Actruis experience is desirable
- Education:
- College/Sixth form school Leaver or equivalent required; University degree in business, sales, or a related field is a plus.
