Job Role
We are seeking a dedicated and driven Protection Adviser to join our in-office team. Based at our Sidcup office, you will work closely with clients, referred by mortgaged advisers to identify and recommend suitable protection products that safeguard their financial well-being. This is a full-time, office-based role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person or telephone-based consultations from our office to understand clients’ personal and financial circumstances.
- Provide tailored advice on a range of protection products including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and family income benefit.
- Explain policy features and underwriting considerations clearly and compliantly.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of providers, products, and industry changes.
- Complete all compliance documentation and suitability reports to meet FCA regulations.
- Manage a pipeline of leads, follow up on client enquiries, and maintain CRM systems accurately.
- Collaborate with mortgage advisers and admin staff to ensure smooth case progression.
- Support clients with policy applications, underwriting queries, and post-sale servicing.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a protection or financial advice role (office-based experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of personal protection products and underwriting.
- Qualifications (desirable but not essential):
- CII R05 – Financial Protection
- CII RO1 or equivalent
- CeMAP – Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice
- Proficient in using CRM and back-office systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
