Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Purchasing Coordinator (9 month FTC) to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities: Role Purpose
Your Primary role is the provision of operational support and services to the Purchasing department to meet agreed levels of performance to support the monthly business sales targets and key stakeholder demand. This will be achieved through alignment & collaboration with the wider supply chain team, other WML functions, WMFTS and SSE.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
You will support the Purchasing department by undertaking various duties, such as keeping accurate records, compiling reports to demonstrate performance against targets, maintaining digital filing systems, verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders and other tasks required to provide a satisfactory level of service to the department and wider business stakeholders.
You will ensure the success of your role by supporting your department leadership team and fellow department team members by meeting your role purpose and by attending regular team meetings,1-2-1’s and pursuing, as required suitable skill development.
You will support the wider Supply Chain team to drive higher levels of departmental performance and contribution to overall business performance through effective collaboration, alignment, and delivery of key objectives.
You will support the development of continuous improvement for key processes & systems in the supply chain department, to build on added-value and to remove waste, initially through improving manual routines and then through the appropriate adoption of digital tools.
You will ensure the company’s health and safety policy is complied with and that, as far as reasonably practicable, a safe working environment exists. If training needs are recognised to minimise risks to health and safety you will attend this. As always report EHS concerns in the outlined way according to company policies and procedures.
Skills/Experience:
Criteria: Essential (E) or Desirable/Working Towards (DW)
Previous Experience:
Working in a busy office environment providing administrative support. (E)
In analytics and the ability to interpret data to provide strategic and tactical business solutions. (E)
In a purchasing-based role or wide supply chain functions. (DW)
Experience of product planning and procurement ERP/MRP systems. (DW)
Ability to effectively use computer and communication technology such as Microsoft Office applications. (E)
Imports and Commodity code experience an advantage (DW)
