Hunting is currently recruiting for a QA Advisor to work within our Subsea Technologies division based in our office in the South of Aberdeen. The QA Advisor is responsible for supporting the management, maintenance, and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS). Also contribute to the process for certification receipt, review, endorsement, and control, including collation and compilation of MRBs (Material Records Books). The successful candidate will also have responsibility for supporting HSE Legal and Regulatory compliance for the Subsea business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining the IMS, which conforms to the requirements to the following International and Industry Standards: ISO 9001 and ISO 45001
- Ensuring all staff adhere to all relevant IMS procedures, work instructions and safe systems of work
- Review of material certification, welding, NDE, other special processes, etc.
- Collate and compile Certification Data Books / MRBs for issue to clients
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Review supplier documents such as Inspection & Test Plans, MRB indexes, MRBs and endorse with approval code as applicable
- Attending and contributing to project Kick Off Meetings and Pre-Production Meetings, or similar, to ensure that the HSEQ requirements are defined and understood for the project
- Contributing to management of the non-conformance process and ensures all outcomes and learnings are captured
- Assist in execution of Audit Schedule for the Business Unit in line with IMS and project requirements
- Perform internal audits to meet the requirements of audit schedule and the approved vendor list
- Support management of Approved Vendors List (AVL) in line with IMS and contractual requirements
- Working with the wider HSEQ Team, work to develop Group standard documents and assessments
- Identify and promote positive trending of performance – Identifying areas of concern, suggested improvements as well as positive behaviours.
- Support on, investigate and review accident and incident reports. Identify any trends and ensure that there is appropriate response to prevent future occurrence
- Maintain compliance with HSE legislative requirements, provide updates as required
- QA & HSE point of contact for the business unit when required
- Take on any additional tasks and mini projects, assist in other functions if required
Qualifications / Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Quality Professional
- Be able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
- Current working knowledge of the industry and the willingness to expand / develop knowledge
- Awareness of industry codes and standards
- Basic knowledge of NDE practices, welding, pressure testing
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills
- Prepared to show initiative, propose solutions rather than highlight problems
- Enthusiastic, and willing to accept new challenges, flexibility and adaptability.
- Willingness to learn / develop / improve
- Experience of managing COSHH
Education and Experience
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification (Essential)
- Experience in maintaining an Integrated Management System (Essential)
- Experience in the creation/review of Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) or Data Books (Essential)
- Experience in the creation/review of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP’s) (Required)
- Experience in a project driven environment (Essential)
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Essential)
- Document control experience (Desirable)
