Job Introduction

Working closely with Group colleagues, the UK Bank will deliver an ambitious programme of work to the core online and mobile platforms that will afford improved functionality and a more seamless user experience.
We are therefore looking for Test Analyst, in support of our IT modernisation efforts who will be required to drive forwards the multi-level testing of key system developments. The role holder will be responsible to create detailed test artefacts such as: Test Strategy, Test Cases, Traceability Matrix and Test Completion reports, working collaboratively with UK and Swedish development teams, whilst focusing on the timely delivery of agreed outcomes that meet both business and customer needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Create detailed test artefacts such as Test Strategy, Test Cases, Traceability Matrix and Test Completion reports.
- Involved in all test phases; Functional, Non-functional, Smoke, Regression and Exploratory testing.
- The ability to design and execute tests with/without detailed requirements or processes i.e. think outside the box.
- Conduct and involvement in; System Integration, Regression and User Acceptance testing and ensure testing is carried out according to Bank standards.
- Develop and maintain Manual Tests/Regression Packs where applicable.
- Triaging/owning defect logs and ensuring that these are progressed in a timely manner with all stakeholders involved.
- Provide accurate test estimations in addition to writing and executing tests.
- Provide test risk management, risk assessment and change triage without detriment to business requirements.
- Understand and assess the adequacy of any solutions and propose further changes/enhancements or risk mitigation where needed. Be able to impact assess technical changes and business processes across the entire project and how this may impact the bank.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and continuous improvements within the Buy QA test function.
- Work with business SME’s and stakeholders to satisfy testing objectives.
- Ability to provide mentoring to new and less experience team members when required.

- Significant manual testing experience with 3 rd Party Software implemented (preferably) in a banking environment.
- The candidate will need to show cohesive working with 3 rd party resources defining test approach, data, system requirements and constraints.
- Understand and have worked with 3 rd Parties that integrate with other internal/external systems e.g. sharing of data, ETL and migration of data.
- Ability to build robust 3 rd party product/application knowledge during test preparation and planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to act with courage and integrity including appropriate challenge when/where necessary.
- Be able to actively participate in team meetings and other test forums. Taking responsibility to make a decision in difficult circumstances.
- Ability to build effective working network with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Ability to be part of a close-knit team.
- Presentation skills to support the review of testing artefacts with key stakeholders is essential.
- Experience in Salesforce/CRM solutions related testing is a bonus.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and contributing to any Agile ceremonies will also be a bonus.
- Previous cross–role experience (banking, analysis, development, database work) is beneficial.
- Tooling – Hands on experience working on JIRA and Confluence is a bonus, SQL experience will be seen as a bonus but not essential.
