The Vacancy
We have a current requirement for a Quality advisor to join the business on a full-time permanent basis, the role will be based in our Glasgow office on a hybrid working model. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that the Quality and Environmental processes and procedures within WGM and its supply base are effectively deployed & compliant with U.K regulations, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Achilles Verify standards across all our sites / locations. The Quality and Environmental Advisor will be office and site facing with an expected high degree of interface between site management and operational personnel.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Providing advice and support on the implementation in practice of all Quality management systems, processes and procedures.
- Providing Quality technical support to WGM businesses to include CONNECT SharePoint processes and document control procedures.
- Organise and maintain monitors, charts, statistics relating to Quality
- Conduct Quality and Environmental compliance assurance inspections at WGM locations
- Ensuring that the company and its employees comply with Environmental legislation and all Environmental processes are adopted and adhered to.
- Ensuring Intelligent Quality methodology is adhered to at site locations.
- Compile Quality and Environmental incident reports and support incident investigations as required.
- Collate, categorise and undertake trend analysis of Quality and Environmental incidents, observation reports, audit non-conformance statistics
- Ensure compliance with the WGM Quality and Environmental policies and with U.K Environmental Regulations.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar level quality & environmental role ideally within an engineering or construction environment. You will have excellent working of quality and environmental systems and procedures and have a good awareness of ISO9001, ISO14001 quality standards. Experience auditing, implement improvement activities and building a positive culture within a business is essential for the role, travel will be required to various site so a full UK driving licence is essential for the position.
