Role Profile
Provision of experienced Quality Assurance Consultancy support to the Green Volt project.
Detailed Work Scope
The service provider is required to provide full time support (40 hours) across 5 days per week. Whilst the Contractor/Consultant will be autonomous in their delivery of the work scope, the Contractor's business contact will be the Project Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible for the management of the supplier's contract, ensuring agreed deliverables are met and they will be the point of contact for the supplier.
Details of the service provision:
- Establish effective relationships and work cooperatively with the project team to meet their key project milestones
- Ensure that all regulatory, legislative, certification, independent verification and classification requirements, as well as business needs, are met throughout the project lifecycle
- Interface with independent verification and classification bodies
- Ensure the understanding of, and adherence to, the business management system and ISO certification with the Project team
- Ensure clear definition of Quality minimum standards for all packages and ensure all contractors and sub-contractors adherence to these standards
- As part of the overall Flotation Energy audit programme support the development of a risk based audit program that covers the regulatory, legislative, certification & classification requirements, as well as business needs, for the project and wider business. Carry out Internal, external and supplier audits as necessary.
- The contractor will not manage employees but will support team capability and aid knowledge development.
- Develop and Implement an online quality / completions management system, together with the Project Commissioning Manager.
- Review and approval of contractor Quality Plans, ITPs, and certifications.
- Participate in and support Risk management reviews
- Oversee Life Time Quality records review and receipt
- Oversee Inspection and testing activities including:
- FAT/SAT for electrical and mechanical components
- NDT and weld inspections on floating foundations and mooring systems
- Cable laying, turbine installation, and commissioning quality checks
- Handover of all equipment from contractors
- Completion and Closing of Punchlist Items
- Facilitate:
- Project Certification
- Non-conformances & concession
- Route Cause Analysis
- Management of change applications
- Lessons Learned
- Project Stage Gates
- Continuous improvement initiatives
It is essential that resources provided hold IRCA recognised or equivalent ISO 9001:2015 certification, have audit experience with this standard.
It is desirable, but not essential, for resources provided to have an understanding of other ISO standards such as 14001:2015, 45001:2018, IS0 50001: 2024, ISO 27001: 2024, ISO 31000: 2018 and DNV standards such as DNV-SE-0190, DNV-SE-0074, and DNV-ST-0359.
