Quality Process Engineer

Reporting to: Compliance Manager

Location: Head Office, Wigston
Purpose of Role
To lead and support quality assurance initiatives across operational processes, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and continuous improvement in product and service quality. The Quality Engineer will play a key role in analysing process performance, identifying root causes of quality issues, and implementing corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Role Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and process documentation in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive action initiatives (CAPA) for process-related non-conformities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and reduce variation in manufacturing and service delivery.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, facilitating audit activities, and following up on findings.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with suppliers and external partners to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
- Provide training and guidance to operational teams on quality procedures and best practices.
- Maintain batch testing records and ensure all product documentation is validated and compliant

Role Requirements
Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in a QMS & process improvement role, ideally within a regulated or ISO-certified environment.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D, SPC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (desirable).
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (not essential)
- Full driving license & willingness to travel
