WSP’s Sheffield PMCM team works throughout the UK and Europe primarily on private sector Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Build To Rent (BTR) and mixed-use projects.
As a Quantity Surveyor you’ll be responsible for managing and reporting on the commercial performance and will work closely with clients to successfully deliver projects.
The role will require you to ensure that a high level of technical, financial and commercial control is maintained on projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Project Management from inception to completion
- Tender and appoint the project delivery team
- Attend design team meetings, produce tender documentation
- Development of cost plans
- Reviewing tender returns, authorise application of payment, risk analysis, valuation certificate production
- Administer the Design & Build Contract
- Preparation of financial reports
- Final account information
- Participate in value engineering workshops and analysis of findings
Qualifications
- HNC, HND, BSc/ MSc in Quantity Surveying
- Experience in delivery of residential projects (ideally high-rise developments)
- Experience of JCT Design & Build Contract
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, good planning and organising skills together with strong time management skill and team working
- A full driving licence
- Working closely within our team is very important to us, so an easy commute to our office must be considered.
